Whisky Barrel Coffee Cocktail
We see your Espresso Martini and we raise you a Whisky Barrel Coffee Cocktail. Our limited edition Whisky Barrel espresso is the star of this recipe, accompanied by a drop of liquor and a touch of orange!
Ingredients
1 Shot of Julius Meinl Vietnam Whisky Barrel Espresso
220ml Tonic
15ml Vermouth
20ml Campari
Slice of orange + orange peel
Rosemary (garnish)
Preparation
1. Prepare a single espresso & let it get cold.
2. Fill the glass half full with ice cubes.
3. Add the orange slice.
4. Now put the rest of the ice cubes on top until the glass is full.
5. Add Vermouth & Campari.
6. Add cold tonic water.
7. Slowly pour the espresso in the glass.
8. Garnish with rosemary and orange peal on top.
Viennese Iced Coffee
Fancy a touch of indulgence? Our Viennese Iced Coffee combines vanilla ice cream with rich espresso to create the perfect balance between drink and dessert.
Ingredients

Ice cubes
1-2 Scoops vanilla ice cream
Cold milk
Whipped cream
Chocolate sauce
Preparation
1. Prepare a double espresso & let it get cold.
2. Put the ice cubes in the glass.
3. Pour cold milk on top.
4. Add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.
5. Layer the espresso on top.
6. Add cream on top and decorate with chocolate sauce.
Coconut Delight
Iced coffee, but EVEN better. Packed with creamy coconut ice cream and Arabica coffee, our Coconut Delight recipe has that touch of indulgence we all need.
Ingredients

Ice cubes
Cold milk
1 Scoop stracciatella ice cream
1 Scoop coconut ice cream
Piece of chocolate and a grater OR chocolate sprinkles
Preparation
1. Prepare a double espresso & let it get cold.
2. Put the ice cubes in the glass.
3. Pour cold milk on top.
4. Add 1 scoop of stracciatella ice cream.
5. Add 1 scoop of coconut ice cream.
6. Layer the espresso on top.
7. Grate chocolate or put chocolate sprinkles on top.
Espresso Tonic
Uncomplicated yet sophisticated, the Espresso Tonic presents a delightful experience. Its appeal extends beyond just flavor, captivating both seasoned coffee enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Ingredients
Ice cubes
100ml tonic water (standard Indian tonic, or spice things up with a flavour!)
Fresh lemon
Fresh ginger
Double espresso
Optional: fresh rosemary to garnish
Preparation
1. Fill you glass with ice cubes
2. Add 100ml of tonic water
3. Spice things up with slices of fresh lemon and ginger to your taste
4. Prepare a double shot of espresso and pour it over the glass
5. Garnish with a twig of fresh rosemary
6. Enjoy your refreshing moment!
The Julius Meinl Mixtape
If we were to make a mixtape for a crush, it would sound, wait, it would taste a little something like this. Containing two of the things we dedicate our days doing amazing things with – tea and coffee – it’s the best of both of our worlds.
Ingredients
40g of brewed Julius Meinl Namaste Chai loose tea
Double espresso
80ml of regular or plant-based milk
Ice cubes
2.5g of vanilla syrup
5g of sugar syrup
The garnish: cinnamon, star anise, cloves or some other dry spice of your choosing
Ice, ice baby
Preparation
1. Prepare the tea base for roughly 10 glasses: Infuse 10g of the Namaste Chai in 200ml of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes then add 300ml of cold water.
2. Fill your glass with ice cubes and add the cold milk
3. Mix the espresso, the chai, vanilla syrup and sugar syrup in a shaker or cocktail shaker. Shake it and mix it up.
4. Then pour the mix over the ice and milk in the latte glass.
5. Garnish it like you mean it with cinnamon and star anise.
Bitter with a drop of glitter
True to its name, this cocktail has a pleasingly robust bitterness that makes a memorable impression, courtesy of the potent espresso and tonic blend. You'll be treated to the invigorating notes of zesty sourness and herbal complexity, embodied by this distinctive creation that sparkles like pure glam in a glass.
Ingredients
40 g or a double shot of espresso (40g)
Ice cubes
30 ml of orange juice
¾ glass of tonic water
Orange liquor or orange syrup for a non-alcoholic version
20 ml of Gin
Garnish including herbs and citrus fruit (eg. orange peel & thyme)
Preparation
1. Fill your glass with ice cubes and pour in the tonic until it fills three-quarters of the glass.
2. Mix the juice, liquor and gin in another glass or cocktail shaker
3. Pour the mix on top of the tonic gently and slowly.
4. Now add your glitter aka. peels of all the citrus fruit you can get your hands on and some thyme.
Beauty and the bean
Beauty and the Bean is made to be a crowd-pleaser, with a beautiful creamy combo of sweet liquors and a hit of espresso bringing the kick.
Ingredients
A single shot of the finest Espresso blend you can find (two words for you – Julius Meinl)
A few tablespoons of milk foam
A shot (5g) of hazelnut liquor (eg. Frangelico) or hazelnut syrup for a non-alcoholic version
Irish cream liquor (eg. Baileys) or 5g of milk for a non-alcoholic version
5g of condensed milk
Preparation
1. Make yourself a shot of espresso. Shoot it back and make another (this one keep for the recipe).
2. Pour the liquors and condensed milk into the cup.
3. Now pour in the espresso.
4. Prepare your milk foam and lay it over the top. Give it that real Viennese Melange look.
Iced Biscoff Latte
Introducing the Iced Biscoff Latte: a delightful fusion of rich espresso, creamy milk, and the unmistakable flavor of Biscoff cookies. This iced coffee concoction is the perfect indulgence for those seeking a sweet, caffeinated treat on a warm day.
Ingredients
4-5 biscuits smashed (that’s right – you get to smash up some biscuits!)
8-10 ice cubes depending on the size of your glass
200-250 ml of milk (plant-based, or dairy)
A shot of espresso (if prepared with a Moka pot then prepare 30ml- 50ml)
Optional toppings like whipped cream, a biscuit, or some biscuit crumbles
Preparation
1. Throw your biscuits into some warm milk and start mashing. Mash until you can’t mash anymore and then transfer your biscuit mash into a tall glass.
2. Fill the glass with as many ice cubes as you wish.
3. Fill the glass almost to the top with milk, leaving the width of one finger.
4. Pour in your shot of espresso (or if it’s a Moka pot brew – 30–50ml of coffee).
5. Add your own special touch by garnishing it with whipped cream, or go ahead and smash some more biscuits to sprinkle over the top.
Queen of the Orient
Iced Tea Royalty! Our Queen of the Orient recipe combines fresh tea with a refreshing mix of apple juice, lime and mint. The result is a delicious thirst quencher, perfect for a warm summer’s day.
Ingredients
ca. 130ml Iced Tea (6g Julius Meinl Tea on the Rocks Traditional Pure Black* on 0,5l)
40ml clear apple juice
15ml sugar syrup
1 lime
Some mint leaves
Ice cubes
Decoration: apple(s), mint leaves, lemon peel
Optional: vodka, white rum
*) As an alternative you can use any Julius Meinl Ceylon or Assam tea from other product lines.
Preparation
1. Iced Tea (0,5l): Infuse tea for 5 minutes with 150ml boiling water. Stir. Filter out tea leaves. Add 350ml of cold water.
2. Cut ¼ of a lime into weges. Add some mint leaves and put into the glass. Crush.
3. Squeeze out a lime and pour the juice into the glass.
4. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
5. Add sugar syrup, apple juice and fill up with the Ice tea.
6. Decorate with apple pieces, mint leaves and lemon peel.
7. Optional: Add some vodka or white rum before filling up with the Iced tea.
Laguna Beach
Transport yourself to sandy shores with our Laguna Beach Iced Tea. This fruity recipe combines strawberry and orange with amaretto for a taste of the tropics.
Ingredients
ca. 160ml Iced Tea (6g Julius Meinl Tea on the Rocks Red Berry Temptation* on 0,5l)
20ml amaretto (non-alcoholic: use Amaretto syrup)
20ml Sugar syrup
Basil leaves
Strawberries
1 Orange
Ice cubes
Decoration: basil leaves, orange peel, strawberries
*) As an alternative you can use Julius Meinl fruit teas from other product lines
Preparation
1. Iced Tea (0,5l): Infuse tea for 10 minutes with 150ml boiling water. Stir. Filter out tea leaves. Add 350ml of cold water.
2. Take basil leaves and pieces of strawberry - crush on the bottom of the glass.
3. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add some wedges of orange.
4. Add sugar syrup, amaretto and fill up with the Iced Tea.
5. Decorate with basil leaves, strawberry and a spiral of orange peel.
Paradise Peach
When life hands you lemons, make a fruity iced tea! Our Paradise Peach iced drink is infused with lemon, peach and ginger for a perfectly refreshing taste on warmer days.
Ingredients
180ml Iced Tea (6g Julius Meinl Tea on the Rocks Exotic Mango Strawberry* on 0,5l)
10ml Sugar syrup
10ml Peach syrup
Lemon, Ginger root, Mint leaves
Ice cubes
Decoration: lemon, mint leaves, ginger root
Optional: gin, rum
*) As an alternative you can use Julius Meinl black teas from other product lines
Preparation
1. Iced Tea (0,5l): Infuse tea for 5 minutes with 150ml boiling water. Stir. Filter out tea leaves. Add 350ml of cold water.
2. Cut a piece of ginger into slices, add wedges of lemon and mint leaves. Crush.
3. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Add additional ginger slices.
4. Squeeze ½ lemon, pour the juice over the ice.
5. Add sugar and peach syrup, fill up with the Iced Tea.
6. As decoration use slices of ginger, lemon peel and mint leaves.
7. Optional: Add some gin or rum before filling up with the Iced tea.
The Royal Bubbles
Rumour has it that the Queen of England drank something similar to this when hitting the town. OK, we may have created this rumour, and earnestly be waiting for it to catch on. Nevertheless, this is one refreshing summer drink that we’re sure she would appreciate.
Ingredients
2 tea leaf bags of Julius Meinl’s ‘Orange Cream’
Bitter orange liqueur of your choice (eg. Aperol)
Sparkling wine
2 blood orange wedges
Ice cubes
Balm mint leaves to garnish and make this drink royal
Ice, ice baby
Preparation
1. Infuse the tea bags with approximately 200ml of boiling water. Let it steep for a good 5 minutes.
2. Fill your glass with ice cubes and pieces of the blood orange.
3. Pour in 2 parts tea, 1 part orange liqueur and 2 parts sparkling wine.
4. Make it look fancy with slices of orange (peel) and some balm mint leaves.
Espresso Martini
Just when you thought our coffee couldn’t get any better, in comes the Espresso Martini. A freshly brewed espresso, vodka and coffee liqueur. Fancy making it yourself?
Ingredients
30 ml Irish cream liquer
30 ml coffee liquer
20 ml vodka
30 ml espresso
Couple of ice cubes
3 coffee beans for garnish
Instructions
1. Add ice and all the ingredients to your shaker. Add the freshly brewed espresso last to reduce dilution.
2. Shake hard for 15 – 20 seconds until everything is blended and the liquid is smooth as silk. The general rule is, if in doubt, shake again & shake harder.
3. Strain into a martini cocktail glass and garnish with the three coffee beans.
*The meaning of the three beans on top:
One of the espresso martini’s trademarks is three coffee beans on the top, and those beans serve a purpose: they represent health, wealth and happiness. So when friends, lovers or relatives are having a toast while drinking espresso martinis, they are celebrating those three things.
Espresso Bombardino
Our take on the Bombardino, a popular winter drink in Italy’s ski resorts. The combination of eggnog, espresso and hot milk is guaranteed to keep you cosy!
Ingredients
20 ml of eggnog
Hot milk and milk froth (like for Latte Macchiato)
Single Espresso
Preparation
1. Start with the eggnog.
2. Afterwards, foam the milk and pour it carefully on top of it. Puring through the spoon helps to keep the slow pace.
3. Let sit for few second and top with an espresso. That last bit can help you create nice layers in the glass.
Winter punch
Experience magical winter moments with tea recipes to keep you warm. A premium tea blend is a must to bring your ordinary cup to a next level this time of a year.
Ingredients
2 heaped teaspoons of Julius Meinl Loose Tea „Berry Cocktail“ (or 1 Julius Meinl Big Bag „Organic Fruit Symphony“ or 2 Julius Meinl Leaf Bags „Organic Fruit Symphony“ or 2 Julius Meinl Single Bags „Fruit Symphony“)
250 ml of boiling water
250 ml apple juice
½ lemon
1 orange
1-2 cinnamon sticks
250ml red wine
Optional: honey (sugar), cloves, cinnamon sticks
Preparation
1. Infuse the fruit tea with 250 ml of freshly boiled water and let it steep for 10 minutes.
2. Mix the tea with apple juice and red wine.
3. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice or orange and lemon slices.
4. Add the cinnamon sticks and cloves and heat up (do not boil).
5. Sweeten with honey or sugar if you like.
6. Pour to the festive cups and serve.
7. For decoration, you may use a slice of orange, clove buds or cinnamon sticks.
Chai Latte
Cold days call for a chai latte! This Indian-inspired drink is creamy and comforting, with just enough spice to warm you up.
Ingredients
3g Julius Meinl Namaste Chai
3g sugar
Approx. 120ml milk
Water (to brew the tea in)
Optional for garnish: cinnamon or cocoa powder or cinnamon sticks
Preparation
Preparation of the Chai concentrate
1. Boil 120ml water in a pot.
2. Pour 3g Julius Meinl Namaste Chai into the boiling water.
3. Stir from time to time and add 3g sugar. Make sure that the sugar disolves completely.
4. Keep boiling on low heat for appr. 10 minutes. Use for the preparation of the Chai Latte.
Preparation of the Chai Latte
1. Prepare milk foam (you need approx. 120ml of milk) the same way you would for a Latte Macchiato.
2. Pour the milk foam into a glass.
3. Pour the Chai cautiously into the glass with the milk foam.
4. Feel free to decorate with cinnamon or cocoa powder or add a cinnamon stick.
Earl Grey Hot Toddy
We’ve got the winter tea recipe with a special twist for you – a legendary flavour, largely owed to a legendary tea.
Ingredients
1.5 cups of water (300ml)
2 tea bags of Julius Meinl Earl Grey Blossom
2 lemons juiced
2 tablespoons of honey
1 shot of bourbon whiskey
Preparation
1. Get your favourite slippers and warm bathrobe on (yes, even if you’re enjoying this with friends).
2. Bring the water to boil in a pot.
3. Dangle your teabags in the boiling water and steep them for approximately x2 winter comfort songs you’ve got in your playlist at the moment (aka. 5 minutes).
4. Add the lemon juice, honey and whiskey and let it simmer while listening to another two tunes that make you simmer with the right amount of melancholic winter vibes.
5. Pour yourself and your fellow tea drinking buddy a cup and let the stories flow! Or simply sit there in silence while streaming your favourite series – up to you.
