JULIUS MEINL BARISTA CUP 2024
HOW IT WORKS
The competition is open to participants who are at least 18 years old and currently employed as a barista at an establishment, such as a cafe, hotel, or restaurant, that serves Julius Meinl coffee. Additionally, participants must either reside or hold citizenship in the region of the local competition in which they compete.
PHASE 1: SIGN UP
If you are a Barista working at an establishment that serves Julius Meinl coffee, sign up to join the competition!
All you need to do is upload a video of yourself preparing a coffee with latte art and to share a signature coffee drink recipe via the form below.
PHASE 2: LOCAL COMPETITIONS
Top applicants will be invited to compete in their national competition. The competition has 3 categories:
- Espresso,
- Cappuccino and
- Signature Drink
Each category will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges. The participant with the highest overall score across all categories will be crowned the national champion and win a trip to Vienna to compete in the Grande Finale. A representative from their company will also be invited to join.
PHASE 3: GLOBAL GRAND FINALE
National winners compete alongside each other at the Grande Finale, hosted at the Julius Meinl global headquarters in Vienna.
The grand finale will have the same 3 categories: Espresso, Cappuccino and Signature Drink. The highest scorer in each individual category will be crowed a winner. The 3 champions will each win a trip to Honduras, with many other prizes to be won.
